IAPL elected new President and Vice-president
The International Association of Practising Lawyers (“IAPL”) held its Annual General Assembly in New York on the 9th October, 2010 in New York during which Dr. Moses M C Cheng, our senior partner was elected to be its President and Ms. Sabine Krumme as its Vice-president. It was also decided that the next Annual General Assembly to be held in Barcelona, Spain next October.
IAPL is an international association of lawyers with members from all corners of the world. With the increase in international trade and travel the business world requires the trusted expertise of lawyers from the international community. IAPL was formed to meet these demands some 25 years ago and has grown into a team of lawyers from around the globe able to service the requirements of modern international business.
“ I am deeply honoured by my fellow directors in entrusting the leadership position to me . This is the first time in the history of IAPL that an Asian is elected to serve as its president. I believe it reflects the growing importance of the Asian market as well as the opportunities presented to professionals from all parts of the world.” said Dr. Cheng.
“ My wish is to extend the membership of IAPL to more members from cities in Asia so that together we can explore and cover the Asian market better in the years to come. I believe there are lots of opportunities in Asia opened to the investors from all parts of the world and for the Investors from Asia IAPL members are ready to provide our support and professional services to you in your investments in the international arena.” continued Dr. Cheng.
